Thank God almighty is a sunny day
After many days of ceaseless bold cold:
I am truly, truly happy, o yea,
And can tell the sky is made of old gold;
The sun’s eyes beaming likewise on highs
And its warmth fresh, scorching and life-giving,
As I sit outside munching some French fries,
Unperturbed about any trifle, dull thing;
The twos yews around me are happy too,
Releasing their ageless freshness with ease,
And I say, “hey this is a life anew.
Stay longer, sir, wonderful summer, please,
Lest thy quiet exit, oohs, will sow snows!
And draw me back to wear my winter clothes.”
